Today, in the Yunosabad sports complex in Tashkent an awarding ceremony was held for the winners of the Republican final stage of the "Student League" sports competitions in football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and chess which was held for the first time among students of higher education institutions.
It is worth mentioning that the team of Urgench State University also won a number of prestigious places in the "Student League" competitions. For example, in table tennis, our students took the first place and won the gold medal, in the boys' basketball competitions, they took the second place and won the silver medal, and our volleyball girls took the proud third place and won the bronze medal.
Rector of Urgench State University B.Abdullayev, first vice-rector D.Ibadullayev, deputy chairman of the Sports Club M.Rahimov, our sports students and their coaches took part in today's awarding ceremony.
At the event, the President's gifts were ceremoniously handed over to the winning and prize-winning teams of the Republican final stage of sports competitions.
