Siegfried Schoppe, professor of economics at the University of Hamburg, Germany, who visited our region as an international observer in the important political process that took place in our country on July 9, the presidential election of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited Urganch State University today.
Professor Siegfried Schoppe was warmly welcomed by the management of the university in the main educational building of the university. At the meeting with Mr. Siegfried Schoppe, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs S. Khodjaniyozov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovations Z. Ibragimov, representatives of faculties directly cooperating with German higher education institutions, including Dean of the Faculty of Economics I. Abdullayev and professors and teachers of the faculty, dean of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Z. Jumaniyozov and professors and teachers of the faculty, employees of the international relations department took part.
The main goal of this meeting was to establish cooperation with the University of Hamburg, to mutually agree on this.
At the meeting, Professor Siegfried Schoppe gave information on educational and scientific research in German higher education institutions, and spoke about the establishment of the University of Hamburg and its current activities, as well as its wide possibilities.
Instead, the guest was introduced to Urganch State University. In particular, the German higher education institutions with which cooperative relations have been established today, the works being carried out within the framework of existing projects were thoroughly analyzed. The team of UrSU expressed its desire to cooperate with the University of Hamburg in the field of scientific research and education. First of all, it was emphasized that it is appropriate to start with the exchange of professors and teachers.
After exchanging opinions and analyzing the achievements and problems in education, it was agreed to establish cooperation between Urganch State University and Hamburg University.
