Today, April 26, an international scientific and practical conference was organized at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni on the topic "The Importance of Socio-Economic Development of Regions in Poverty Reduction".
The seminar was attended by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations of the University Z.Ibragimov and the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences I.Abdullayev, who expressed their views on the importance of this prestigious conference, ensuring social equality, and implementing modern economic models and mechanisms in practice.
The main goal of the conference is to study best practices in poverty reduction, introduce innovative approaches, and develop promising solutions that serve the socio-economic development of regions.
This prestigious conference was actively attended not only by scientists from our university, but also by specialists in the field in our republic and foreign experts.
In particular, the conference was attended by professors of Urgench State University, head of the Khorezm regional branch of the UN Center for Sustainable Development B.Rozmetov, professor T.Doschanov, professor of the Yelabuga branch of Kazan Federal University V.Islamutdinov, director of the Urgench regional branch of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan F.Abdullayev, researcher of the Department of Operations Management and Logistics of the National Research University “Higher School of Economics” A.Ustujyantseva, who delivered reports on topics such as “Features of the national model of poverty reduction in Uzbekistan”, “Issues of improving socio-economic development based on the mechanism of social entrepreneurship”, “Entropic approach to measuring poverty”, “The content and essence of the State Program for the Year of Environmental Protection and the “Green Economy” and the experience of Singapore in this direction”.
This conference was an important step in the emergence of new ideas and initiatives in the field, the strengthening of cooperative ties, and the identification of promising strategic directions.
