It has been 4 years since the establishment of the Department of Safe Tourism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan
In the implementation of the Concept of Ensuring Safe Tourism in Bukhara, Samarkand, Khiva and Shakhrisabz, approved by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 939, four years have passed since the establishment of the Department of Safe Tourism to ensure the safety of foreign and domestic tourists and the maintenance of public order in the tourist infrastructure and facilities in these areas. Over the past period, the Safe Tourism Departments established in the Bukhara, Samarkand, Khorezm and Kashkadarya regions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have achieved the ultimate goal of ensuring the implementation of the measures outlined in the Concept. This means that during the past period, no crimes or violations of the law have been committed by or against tourists visiting the country.
This, in turn, led to the establishment of the Department of Safe Tourism in the internal affairs of the city of Tashkent, Surkhandarya and Tashkent regions by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 4229 of March 6, 2019. According to this decision, as one of the directions of strengthening the material and technical support of the Department of Safe Tourism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a system of financial incentives has been set up as part of the establishment of the Fund for Safe Tourism and the targeted use of the Fund's resources. Currently, the Safe Tourism Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are systematically working on staffing, improving the knowledge of foreign languages of its employees, studying the history and culture of the peoples of the world, studying the experience of law enforcement agencies of foreign countries in the field of tourism to ensure the safety of tourists, and mutual exchanging of skills. We wish our colleagues success in their work and good health, and we wish them to go to work every morning with great enthusiasm and make it easy for them to return to their families safe at night.
