On September 8, a spiritual and educational meeting was held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni for first-year students, organized in cooperation with the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by the university’s First Vice-Rector D.Ibadullayev, Rector’s advisor A.Shakarov, the chief specialist of the Committee for Religious Affairs for Urgench city O.Vaisov, a representative of the Khorezm Regional Department of Internal Affairs Rapid Search Service for Counterterrorism A.Khudayberganov, a member of the “Ma’rifat” promoters society G.Atajonov, and a major of the cybersecurity department of the Regional Internal Affairs Department, M.Qabulov. They all delivered lectures.
The speakers provided detailed information to students about protecting youth consciousness from harmful trends and extremist ideas, fighting all forms of radicalism, strengthening religious tolerance and interethnic harmony, the concept of cybersecurity, the importance of protecting human rights and values, as well as the responsibilities and duties of every citizen in a legal-democratic society.
During the meeting, video clips related to the topics and based on real-life examples were shown.
